Welcome to my practice. Just about anything can cause unwanted stress in your life: challenging relationships, low self-esteem, chronic illnesses, depression, anxiety, living with cancer. Friends and family can be a great source of comfort. But sometimes the problems are about your friends or family, or you just don’t want to burden them with your own worries and frustrations. Sometimes you need the guidance of a licensed, trained professional. That’s where I can help. My name is Dr. Patricia Frumkin. As a clinically trained, licensed psychologist, I can help you develop insight to recognize unhealthy and unproductive patterns, and then assist you in developing the confidence and skills needed to make long lasting changes. I’ve been in private practice for over 20 years and have worked extensively with people from all walks of life. I work with individuals and couples, adults and adolescents dealing with all sorts of issues. I also facilitate a women’s group, and work with those dealing with cancer. I have a style that is called “gently confrontive.” That means I challenge your old patterns and question your assumptions – but in a nurturing, supportive manner. I work with you to overcome your fears, strengthen your emotional being, and help you develop life-long healthy strategies that make a difference. |
